Buccaneers trade Mark Barron to Rams, Jonathan Casillas to Patriots

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers unloaded two players at the NFL trade deadline.

The Buccaneers traded safety Mark Barron, a former first-round draft pick, to the St. Louis Rams.

They also traded linebacker Jonathan Casillas to the New England Patriots.

“We have a lot of respect for Jonathan and Mark as players,” Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said. “We appreciate their hard work and what they did for us here. In some of these cases with trades, we find a partner where they feel that their services are needed more there than they are here. That’s the case here. We wish them the best and nothing but the best."
