Bucs claim safety Matt O'Hanlon on waivers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have claimed safety Matt O’Hanlon off waivers from the NFC South rival Carolina Panthers.
The Nebraska product had signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent on April 30. He led the Huskers with six interceptions last season. He had a fine senior season at Nebraska but wasn’t invited to a postseason all-star game or the scouting combine because of concerns about his speed.
If he competes well on special teams, perhaps he will have a chance to get noticed by the Bucs.
