Bucs' draft bust Keith McCants dealing with drug problems

Keith McCants’ name will come up annually at this time of the year as one of the all-time draft busts by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The defensive end from Alabama was the fourth overall choice in the 1990 draft, one spot ahead of a linebacker by the name of Junior Seau.

Now, though, McCants is in the news for some troubling off-field news. McCants was booked into the Pinellas County (Fla.) jail Saturday, charged with felony possession of cocaine and resisting an officer, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

McCants is also being held on a warrant from Alabama. He failed to appear in court for a drug charge there. McCants was also arrested in December in St. Petersburg and charged with possession of cocaine.
