Cam Newton visits family of victim in Charleston shooting

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton visited the family of one of the victims of the Charleston mass shooting. Newton met with Chris Singleton, a Charleston Southern baseball player whose mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, was among the nine people shot and killed last week at Emanuel AME Church in South Carolina. “Thank you @cameron1newton for coming out to my house and hanging with me and my family. #CharlestonStrong,” Singleton wrote.
Panthers owner Jerry Richardson donated $100,000 to the nine victims' families and the church.
