Cardinals 'closing in' on deal with Larry Fitzgerald

Star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is staying with the Arizona Cardinals. Fitzgerald and the Cardinals are "closing in" on a new contract that will keep him with the team for the remainder of his career, according to ESPN and the Arizona Republic. Fitzgerald was due $16 million in 2015 and had an unwieldy salary-cap figure of $23.6 million. The Cardinals were roughly $16 million over the NFL salary-cap limit of $140 million before the Fitzgerald deal was worked out.
