Cardinals get deal done with Dan Williams

The Arizona Cardinals should have all of their players on the field for practice today.

That is because first-round draft pick Dan Williams finalized a contract overnight, making him the club’s final rookie to get a deal done, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The nose tackle will sign a five-year contract and should be in Flagstaff, Ariz., to join his teammates after agent Todd France polished off the deal.

The 26th overall pick wasn’t present when players reported to Northern Arizona University on Friday, but missing the first weekend of activity will not put him behind in his quest to earn a starting job.
