Cardinals' Jonathan Dwyer charged with assaulting wife

Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer was formally charged with assaulting his wife.

He was indicted with felony aggravated assault and charged with eight misdemeanors, including assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

Dwyer allegedly broke his wife's nose with a head-butt. He allegedly punched her the following day and threw a shoe at his baby son.

The argument stemmed from Dwyer's wife learning of him speaking to another woman on the phone and believing that her husband had been unfaithful.

He's been placed on the reserve-non-football illness list.
