Cardinals LB Will Davis will miss remainder of season

The Arizona Cardinals have lost outside linebacker Will Davis for the remainder of the season with a fractured left leg.

Davis started in Sunday’s loss at Kansas City and he was replacing Clark Haggans, who has been sidelined with a groin injury. Fortunately, Haggans is expected to be ready for the game this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

“That's disappointing because he's a young player that was playing fairly well for us," Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said of Davis, according to the Arizona Republic.

Rookie O’Brien Schofield could also be in the mix more for the Cardinals.

"I think O'Brien has learned a lot," Whisenhunt said. "Not that I'm ready for O'Brien to play a significant amount of snaps."
