Cardinals re-sign TE Anthony Becht
What do you know? The Arizona Cardinals have finally put a fence up around their facility in Tempe. They didn’t lose a player today.
The Arizona Republic reports that veteran tight end Anthony Becht has re-signed with the team for a $950,000 in a one-year deal. The blocking tight end was a good piece for the team to keep as it contemplates running the ball more in the post-Kurt Warner era. Becht had gotten out to take free-agent visits to San Francisco and Oakland.
That’s a good step for Arizona, which has been seeing players leave in groups. Offensive lineman Rex Hadnot and quarterback Charlie Whitehurst are visiting today, and Joey Porter is reportedly scheduled to stop by later this week.
