Cardinals swap fullbacks
The Arizona Cardinals have swapped out fullbacks.
The club announced this morning that Charles Ali has been waived/injured with a pulled hamstring. Taking his place on the roster is Reagan Maui’a.
Maui’a should come in familiar with his surroundings. The Cardinals released him on July 30 after he spent the offseason with the team on the 80-man roster. Originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2007, he also has experience with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Ali was injured last week and the club announced he was going to be sidelined for a few weeks. That left Nehemiah Broughton as the only healthy fullback on the roster, necessitating the move.
