Carolina Panthers getting new logo

The Carolina Panthers have tweaked their logo for the first time since entering the NFL.

Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer reports that the team will unveil a new logo this coming season, although the changes are subtle. You can look at the new logo and the old one via the link just below.

The Panthers say the new logo is "a more aggressive, contemporary look."

"We have one of the finest and most recognizable logos in the NFL and wanted to make it as modern as possible without losing the dramatic essence of the mark," team presiden Danny Morrison told Fowler.

The team’s uniforms will be slightly modified. Nike takes over as the supplier of NFL uniforms this season. Per the report, the league’s creative department modified the logo.
