Carroll lands a familiar face for Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks made it official in adding the kind of player a new coaching staff always covets.

Pete Carroll added veteran special teams player Sean Morey to the field, officially announcing the signing earlier today. Morey may be near the end at 34, but he was an alternate to the Pro Bowl last season and he is a terrific presence in the locker room. He’s also experienced in the NFC West coming over from the Arizona Cardinals.

Morey has ties to Carroll too. He was a seventh-round pick by the New England Patriots back in 1999 when Carroll coached the team.
