Carson Palmer 'likely' to start today
Late this week there was some concern as to whether the Arizona Cardinals would have to start third-string quarterback Logan Thomas against Washington.
Now, all three quarterbacks will be at the team's disposal. According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Carson Palmer is expected to start Sunday's game. Palmer has been out since Week 2 due to a nerve injury in his shoulder.
That's big news for the Cardinals, which are coming off a 41-20 loss to Denver last week. In that game, backup quarterback Drew Stanton suffered a concussion and was replaced by Thomas. Stanton has since been cleared to play, but that didn't come until Friday.
Stanton has started Arizona's past three games since Palmer's injury.
