Carson Palmer reportedly tears ACL

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was in the midst of one of his best seasons this season.

That may have come to an end. According to a rpeort from NFL.com, the Cardinals are fearing that Palmer tore his left ACL. This is the same ligament he tore back in 2005. Palmer, 34, had seen a resurgence in his career after what transpired in Cincinnati and Oakland.

Before the injury, Palmer had completed 25 of 36 passes for 241 yards and an interception.

Drew Stanton relieved Palmer and quickly threw a long touchdown pass to receiver John Brown. The Cardinals defense would then take it from there, notching two defensive scores to get a 31-14 victory. Stanton will become Arizona's No. 1 quarterback beginning this week.
