Cary Williams gets into scuffle with Riley Cooper

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams and wide receiver Riley Cooper got into a dust-up at practice.

It took many quarterback Michael Vick and several other players to break it up, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Video of the confrontation can be watched at CSN Philly.

Williams became known with the Baltimore Ravens for his feisty nature, getting into several practice scraps.

Williams was fined $10,000 along with Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson for an incident last September with Williams fined $15,750 for a late hit in a game against the Denver Broncos. He wasn't penalized or punished for shoving an official during a fight in the Super Bowl.

Per the report, Williams had to be restrained and then walked up and down a different practice field after the altercation to calm down.

As for Cooper, he was descirbed as "visibly distraught."

It was Cooper who was captured on video using the n-word during a Kenny Chesney concert.

Williams acknowledged previously that he had an issue with Cooper's words, adding that he was open to forgiving Cooper. It's unclear if this incident had anything to do with Cooper's controversy from this summer, but Cooper later told reporters that it had nothing to do with it and that he and Williams have mended fences.

Williams declined to talk with reporters after practice, but had a comment on Cooper's racial slur earlier this summer.

“I think there’s no place for that word in anybody’s language, in anybody’s mouth or off anybody’s tongue, whether you’re black, white, green, purple, blue,” Williams said. It’s still the same meaning, it’s still a harsh word.”
