CB Darrelle Revis signs 5-Year, $70M deal with New York Jets

All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis agreed to a five-year, $70 million contract with the New York Jets Tuesday. With this contract, which includes $39 million in fully-guaranteed money, Revis will return to the team that drafted him in 2007, the team with which he spent his first six NFL seasons.

Revis has played 111 games in his eight seasons and has racked up 391 total tackles, 23 interceptions, 123 passes defended, six forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, two sacks and three defensive touchdowns.

Revis is a six-time Pro Bowler and a four-time first-team All-Pro, who spent the 2014 season with the New England Patriots. In his one-year stint with the Patriots, Revis earned his first Super Bowl ring, as New England pulled off a comeback victory over the reining champion Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.

With this contract, Revis will become the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.
