CB Florence takes blame for Bills' loss
Veteran cornerback Drayton Florence was a standup guy after the Buffalo Bills' 27-24 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.
Florence, who had been a hero in Buffalo's wins over Philadelphia and New England, was the victim of a missed tackle and a pair of pass interference calls in the loss to the Giants.
"I take the blame for the loss, if you want to point someone to blame for the loss, point me out," Florence told the Buffalo News after the game. "I didn't make any plays and I gave up some plays. I didn't play good enough for our team to win. I think all 10 guys on defense played good enough to win and I didn't play like I'm capable of playing."
And while Florence is hardly to blame for every mistake the Bills made on Sunday in suffering their second loss of the year, you can be sure that teammates and the media took notice of his willingness to stand up and take responsibility for what happened.
