Chad Johnson freed from jail

Chad Johnson is a free man.

After being sentenced last week to 30 days in jail by a Florida judge for violating his probation on a domestic assault issue, Johnson was released from jail 23 days early.

''I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time,'' said Johnson. ''I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom.''

Johnson slapped his attorney on the rear at last week's hearing, drawing the ire of Judge Kathleen McHugh. Johnson must perform 25 hours of community service, attend counseling sessions and had his probation extended an additional three months from his original sentence.
