Chad Lindsay visiting Ohio State, California

Taking advantage of an NCAA rule, former Alabama center Chad Lindsay is transferring to another college for his final year of eligibility and will be able to play immediately.

After completing his undergraduate degree at Alabama, Lindsay can play for another team as long as its university has a graduate program his previous school doesn't offer. Two of those are Ohio State and California, schools Lindsay will visit this week, according to a report from CBSSports.com.

Lindsay has already visited Michigan, Louisville and Oklahoma in a span over the past two weeks.

All five schools could use interior offensive linemen. One potential fit is Michigan, given Lindsay played for recently hired offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier at Alabama.

Lindsay started only four game a season ago with the Crimson Tide.
