Chad Rinehart guilty of public intoxication
The pie they put together at Mojo’s Pizza House in Cedar Falls, Iowa, must be damn good. If you’ve sampled it before, maybe you can let me know.
Because that is about the only explanation Chad Rinehart can offer up after he was found guilty of public intoxication stemming from a Jan. 18 encounter with police outside the pizza joint near the campus of Northern Iowa University.
Rinehart was found guilty by a Black Hawk County magistrate, according to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier and ordered to pay $195 in fines.
Police discovered Rinehart yanking on the door of Mojo’s at 2 a.m. An officer testified that Rinehart smelled of alcohol, was slurring his words and refused a breat test. The officer warned Rinehart he would use his Taser because the player was being uncooperative.
Rinehart’s defense said he had trouble maintaining his balance because he was wearing a boot as he recovered from a broken leg. No word on whether or not he commented on the pizza.
