Chargers cut former third-round safety Brandon Taylor

The San Diego Chargers waived strong safety Brandon Taylor, a former third-round draft pick.

The former LSU player was selected 73rd overall in 2012, but didn't pan out.

He played in four games as a rookie with one start.

He was inactive for all 16 regular season games and both postseason contests a year ago.

"We’d like to thank Brandon for his work and contributions to the Chargers and wish him the best as he continues his career,” Chargers general manager Tom Telesco said.
