The San Diego Chargers have hired former Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers safety Chris Harris as assistant secondary coach. Harris played for the Panthers when Chargers coach Mike McCoy was their offensive coordinator. He replaces Greg Williams. Harris was the Bears' quality control coach. Harris was a second-team All-Pro selection once. He's played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions.
