Chargers hire Mike Nolan as linebackers coach

The San Diego Chargers have hired former Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan as linebackers coach.

“Mike is a tremendous coach with a wealth of experience and he’ll be a great addition to our coaching staff,” Chargers coach Mike McCoy said. “I’ve known him for many years having coached both with him and against him and it’s great to have him here with us with the Chargers.”

Nolan is a former San Francisco 49ers head coach.

He's spent 17 years as a defensive coordinator.
