Chargers linemen hit with mic fines as well

It turns out that Baltimore Ravens center Matt Birk isn't the only offensive linemen to have been hit with a fine for removing their CBA-mandated microphones.

According to a source, two San Diego Chargers offensive linemen - center Nick Hardwick and guard Scott Mruczkowski - were also hit with $5,000 fines for removing their mics.

The microphone incident came to light when Birk took his mic off before the Ravens game against the New York Jets, and then said he planned to appeal the fine.

The fact that now multiple players have been hit with such a fine for something so silly means that the league and the players association may have to address the matter, and at least make it so the microphones don't inhibit the players trying to do their jobs, as Birk claimed the mic was bothering him and uncomfortable.
