Chargers sign David Johnson
The San Diego Chargers have been active early in free agency, with the trend continuing on Wednesday.
The organization announced that it has signed tight end David Johnson to a two-year contract. Johnson was last with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Johnson joins running back Donald Brown, guard Chad Rinehart, inside linebacker Donald Butler and safety Darrell Stuckey as free agent additions.
For Pittsburgh, Johnson started 26 of the 52 games he appeared in and caught 22 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns. He was a seventh-round pick in 2009.
