Chase Daniel forms scholarship at Mizzou
New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel announced this morning that he will be creating an endowment scholarship at the University of Missouri, where he was a Heisman Trophy candidate.
According to KBIA 91.3 FM, Daniel announced at a press conference the creation of the “Chase Daniel Lone Star State Endowment Scholarship.” The scholarship will be awarded annually to a recruit from Texas, with first consideration given to athletes with a grade-point average above 3.0 with strong community values.
Daniel said he hopes the move leads other athletes to follow his example. Blaine Gabbert will be able to afford his own endowment in another two months, that is for sure.
