Chester Taylor has a dust-up with his new team

Chicago Bears running backs Chester Taylor and Kahlil Bell had to be separated during an incident at practice on Thursday.

Taylor has a history of fights with teammates. A brawl with Erasmus James in Minnesota in 2007 led to stitches above the eye for Bryant McKinnie, who was a bystander in the melee. Taylor also fought Orlando Brown when they were teammates in Baltimore.

So, Taylor moved down in weight class to tangle with Bell, who he was teammates with briefly last year during the offseason in Minnesota.

Taylor signed with the Bears, getting a four-year contract worth $12.5 million. He’s earning $7 million of that this season, but things haven’t gone as he’d like to this point. Taylor has 213 yards rushing on the season and he’s been limited to 53 yards on 38 carries in the last four games.

Bell has been inactive for the first 11 games.
