Chiefs activate rookie Sanders Commings

The Chiefs activated rookie defensive back Sanders Commings from the short-term injured reserve list, the club announced on Tuesday.

Commings was Kansas City's fifth-round selection in the 2013 NFL draft. He was placed on the injured reserve-designated to return list before the season started. In college, he started 35 of 54 games he appeared in with the University of Georgia.

To make room for Commings, the Chiefs waived safety Bradley McDougald.
