Chiefs activete Joe Mays from injured reserve

The Kansas City Chiefs have acitvated linebacker Joe Mays from injured reserve-designated to return, waiving linebacker Jerry Franklin.

Mays has played in 61 career games with 35 starts in six NFL seasons with the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles.

He's a former Eagles sixth-round draft pick from North Dakota State.

Franklin has 11 career tackles.
