Chiefs' Cassel, Moeaki exit with injuries
The Kansas City Chiefs were nearly bitten by the worst thing any team fears in preseason - injuries to key starters.
Quarterback Matt Cassel left the game in the first half after landing on his throwing shoulder on a tackle, and tight end Tony Moeaki exited with a knee injury.
According to the Kansas City Star, neither injury appeared serious as both players remained on the sideline in uniform through the first half.
Still, the last thing any team wants is to lose a key starter in a meaningless preseason game. Maybe the Chiefs were lucky this time.
