The Kansas City Chiefs cut offensive tackle Tavon Rooks with a non-football illness designation. Rooks suffered a heart attack during trainign camp. Rooks is a former New Orleans Saints sixth-round draft pick from Kansas State. He was signed last year by Kansas City. Rooks was diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction, which was caused by a blood clot in the left anterior descending artery, according to the Kansas City Star.
