The Kansas City Chiefs cut veteran wide receivers Donnie Avery and A.J. Jenkins.
The Chiefs save over $4.7 million in salary-cap room with the transactions.
Avery had sports hernia surgery last season. He caught just 15 passes. In two seasons with the Chiefs, he caught 55 passes for 722 yards and two touchdowns.
Acquired in a trade from the San Francisco 49ers for wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin, Jenkins caught 17 passes for 223 yards and no touchdowns in 25 games with the Chiefs.
