Chiefs fans wear black to show frustrations

A grassroots campain of Kansas City Chiefs fans wearing black to Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals summed up the situation the club is in.

At 1-9, tied with Jacksonville for the worst record in the league, some 25,000 or so Chiefs showed up voicing their displeasure with the team in a rather organized way. The campaign is called "Save Our Chiefs," and will continue for the rest of the season.

“I’ve had (season) tickets for 40 years and, if I continue to renew, what’s another way to press that this is a different set of circumstances from what I’ve seen before?” said Ron Stephenson, a season-ticket holder since 1972. “Over 40 years, I’ve seen a lot of bad football. I’ve seen Frank Gansz’s teams and I’ve been through the (former general manager) Jim Schaaf years, but even those years you felt like they weren’t very far away from having something good happen.”

Everyone from GM Scott Pioli to Coach Romeo Crennel to quarterback Matt Cassel has come under fire about the team's horrible play this season, and now fans are organizing to say they want changes made.
