Chiefs first-rounder Dee Ford signs rookie deal
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed first-round outside linebacker Dee Ford to an $8.158 million contract that include a $4.253 million signing bonus.
The Chiefs selected Ford 23rd overall.
The Chiefs have now signed all six of their draft selections.
The 6-foot-2, 252-pounder recorded 93 career tackles, 20.5 sacks, 27.5 tackles for loss and 40 pressures. He added three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one interception.
Ford was named first-team All-Southeastern Conference his senior season and recorded two sacks in the BCS title game against Florida State.
Before the draft, he visited the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans.
He conducted private workouts for the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and the Falcons.
He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds, has bench pressed 225 pounds 29 times with a 35.5-inch vertical leap with a 10-4 broad jump.
