Chiefs lose Berry with ACL injury
The bad news continues for the Kansas City Chiefs, who were trounced 41-7 Sunday in the worst opening-day loss in franchise history.
On Monday, the Chiefs lost safety Eric Berry for the entire season with a torn ACL.
Berry enjoyed a standout rookie season as a first-round pick out of the University of Tennessee and was a key component of the defense that helped Kansas City surge to the AFC West championship last season.
Not a bright start for a Kansas City team that entered the season with so much promise coming off of last year's surprise.
