Chiefs place Joe Mays on injured reserve-designated to return

The Kansas City Chiefs have placed linebacker Joe Mays on injured reserve-designated to return.

Mays has a broken wrist.

Mays has played in 61 games with 35 starts in six NFL seasons with the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos and Philadlephia Eagles.

For his career, Mays has 194 tackles, 18 for losses, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumbe.

He's a former Eagles sixth-round pick from North Dakota State.
