Chiefs sign Tyvon Branch
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed veteran safety Tyvon Branch.
Branch also visited the Washington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts.
“We are excited we were able to reach a deal with Tyvon and bring him to Kansas City,” Chiefs general manager John Dorsey said. “He is a physical player who we feel can help our defense. We’re looking forward to having him.”
Branch has played in five games over the past two seasons with the Oakland Raiders due to injuries.
He has 461 career tackles, 25 for losses, eight sacks, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
Branch is a former Raiders fourth-round pick from Connecticut.
