Chip Kelly Part 2: 49ers hire him as head coach

The San Francisco 49ers hired former Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly as the 20th head coach in franchise history. He replaces the fired Jim Tomsula. It will be interesting to see how Kelly meshes with quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has the mobility Kelly likes. Kelly was fired by the Eagles after a disappointing season and a grab for more personnel power. Now, the former Oregon coach is back in a head-coaching position. Kelly went 10-6 in both of his first two seasons, but nosedived this year. Follow me on Twitter: @AaronWilson_NFL Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
