Chris Berman to be honored by Pro Football Hall of Fame
The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced that ESPN’s Chris Berman will be honored at the Hall of Fame ceremonies next month in Canton, Ohio.
Berman will be honored with the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award a year after he introduced Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. at his induction ceremony. The award is for “long-time exceptional contributions to radio and television in professional football.” Berman is headed toward his 25th consecutive year hosting ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown.”
“I embraced pro football a long time ago,” Berman said in a statement released by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “I am honored and humbled beyond belief that pro football, in turn, has embraced me. To have my name associated with Pete Rozelle's in any way, shape or form is an honor that I take very much to heart.”
