Chuck Bednarik to be released from hospital soon

Here is some excellent news.

Chuck Bednarik, the venerable Hall of Famer for the Philadelphia Eagles, will be released from the hospital this week.

His son-in-law told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer that the 85-year-old will be released from St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., soon. Bednarik was admitted last week after suffering shortness of breath.

"His heart's fine, he didn't have a stroke, so the doctors don't want to keep him any longer than they have to," said Ken Safarowic, the family spokesman. "They caught him crawling out of bed."

It’s good to know Bednarik is doing better.
