CJ: They're going to point the finger at me
Chris Johnson said he knows that the blame for the Tennessee Titans running game woes is going to be directed at him.
Johnson, who held out all of training camp and preseason, then signed a $53 million extension with $30 million in guarantees, said the finger-pointign will be directed straight at him.
"But just me being the guy that I am, me holding out and me getting a big contract, of course, they're going to point the finger at me and say I'm the guy. So that comes along with it,” Johnson said Wednesday.
Of course, there is good reason for the finger-pointing, as Johnson has just 298 yards rushing and the Titans are dead last in the NFL in running the football.
Although he admitted he was frustrated himself with an 18-yard effort against Houston Sunday, Johnson said fans should not be frustrated over his and the Titans struggles.
“I don't see how they can have frustration because they don't know what's really going on,” Johnson said. “They're just looking at the game and if you don't make a big play, it's automatically your fault. I don't see why they can be frustrated.”
