Clemens to start at QB for Jets

From Dave Hutchinson of The Star Ledger:

Kellen Clemens will start at quarterback for the playoff-hopeful New York Jets, coach Rex Ryan announced Wednesday.

Rookie Mark Sanchez, who has started the first 12 games for the Jets this season, suffered a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during last Thursday's victory in Toronto against the Buffalo Bills.

Ryan had been encouraged by Sanchez's progress earlier this week, but the Jets' first-round draft pick (No. 5 overall) was held out of practice Monday and Wednesday.
