Collins returns to full practice for Colts
The Indianapolis Colts quarterback situation was already dire with veteran Kerry Collins having to suffer through a crash course since coming on board late in preseason.
But on Wednesday the Colts got an even bigger scare as Collins was limited by a shoulder injury apparently suffered in the loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Collins, however, was back operating fully in the offense on Thursday, according to the Indianapolis Star.
But the injury and his missed time did raise the question as to the Colts' options at quarterback, given that Peyton Manning is still holding a roster spot while trying to recover from neck surgery, and that largely untested Curtis Painter is Indy's only other QB option. That is, of course, unless they want to take Jeff George up on his comeback offer.
As the Colts ready for Sunday night's game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, they have to be concerned about keeping Collins in one piece and hope that he continues to pick up on the offense in hopes of improving a Colts season already in shambles.
