Colts add Da'Rick Rogers to practice squad
The Indianapolis Colts signed receiver Da'Rick Rogers to their practice squad on Monday.
Rogers has tremendous upside but possesses a lot of baggage. After two seasons with the University of Tennessee, Rogers was dismissed from the program and forced to play his junior year at Tennessee Tech.
His off-field troubles caused him to go undrafted in April. He landed with the Buffalo Bills but was unable to crack their 53-man roster. Without any suitors, the Colts swooped in and signed Rogers to their practice squad.
A low investment now could pay off in a big way if Rogers stays out of trouble. The 6-2, 217-pound receiver was a force in the SEC, leading the conference in receiving yards (1,040) as a sophomore.
The Colts also waived receiver Nathan Palmer from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
