Colts agree to contract with Mike Adams

The Indianapolis Colts today agreed to terms with safety Mike Adams on a contract extension. Adams was originally signed by the Colts as a free agent last year. Last season, he earned his first career Pro Bowl selection after finishing tied for the NFL lead with seven takeaways and tied for third with five interceptions. A dams started all 16 games in 2014 and was the only NFL player to post two multiple-interception games. He also set or tied career highs with 93 tackles,, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. In three postseason starts, he ranked third on the team with 20 tackles (11 solo) and added one pass defensed. In 11 seasons, Adams has registered 581 tackles,, 66 passes defensed, 18 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, 11 fumble recoveries, six forced fumbles, five sacks and 70 special teams tackles.
