Colts 'move on' minus Manning
Peyton Manning is gone, perhaps for the season.
But the Indianapolis Colts insist they are not. With the season opening Sunday in Houston, Colts players say the aren't pitching in the towel on the 2011 season just because their leader won't be on the field for at least the first half of the year.
Linebacker Gary Brackett summed up the players' feelings for the Colts players without Manning.
"We don't feel like we should all just pack up our things and go home because he's not there," Brackett told the Indianapolis Star.
Colts players and fans probably never looked forward to this day coming, but since it is here, they will have to try to make the best of it.
