Colts' Orlovsky on 0-16: No one wants to be part of that

Dan Orlovsky wishes he had some great advice he could give his Indianapolis Colts teammates, who are now 0-9 and appear to be playing worse now than weeks ago.

But Orlovsky says he doesn't have much to offer in the way of advice, only that you don't want to go through such a thing, as he did when he was quarterback of the infamous 2008 Detroit Lions, who did go winless for an entire season.

"Obviously I don't have a ton of advice on how you handle it successfully," Orlovsky told the Indianapolis Star. "The team I was on, we didn't. All I know is you don't want to be a part of it.

"You go out and throw your best punch every Sunday and hopefully you land one."

In fairness to Orlovsky he has not been around for the Colts' entire 0-9, as he was re-signed a few weeks ago after Kerry Collins suffered a concussion and Peyton Manning, of course, out indefinitely.

On the other hand, linebacker Ernie Sims was on both teams as well, and has been with the Colts through their season of misery.

<p> If there is a silver lining, the worst record in the league, of course, means the first pick in the draft and that would mean Andrew Luck and what to do with Peyton Manning and Luck together. But that would be a much better problem to have than the current predicament.
