Colts re-sign Adam Vinatieri
The Indianapolis Colts have decided to keep veteran kicker Adam Vinatieri.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Colts re-signed the reliable placekicker to a two-year contract. Vinatieri has been with the Colts since 2006.
Vinatieri has had a long NFL career, which began in 1996 with the New England Patriots. He earned a reputation of being clutch in key situations. One of most famous moments was kicking the game-winning field goal on the final play in New England's Super Bowl XXXVI win over the St. Louis Rams.
In 10 career seasons, Vinatieri has converted 83 percent of his kicks, making 448 out of 540. He's also made 660 of his career 670 extra point attempts.
