Colts retain Rob Chudzinski as associate head coach

The Indianapolis Colts have promoted Rob Chudzinski to associate head coach, retaining him as his contract was about to expire.

The San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams were after Chudzinkski for offensive coordinator jobs.

Chudzinski joined the Colts last year as a special assistant to the head coach. He's a former head coach for the Cleveland Browns and has also coached for the Carolina Panthers and San Diego Chargers.

“We’re excited to keep Chud in our family,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano said in a statement. “He’s been a critical part of our operation and we’re looking forward to sharing even more success in the future.”
