Colts sign cornerback Chance Casey, cut Josh Mitchell

The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent cornerback Chance Casey, undrafted free agent guard Will Corbin and waived-injured cornerback Josh Mitchell. If Mitchell clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list. Casey originally signed with the Oakland Raiders after going undrafted out of Baylor in 2013. He played in four games with one start in two seasons with the Raiders and registered seven tackles and one pass defensed. Casey also spent time on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad last year Casey was a four-year starter at Baylor. Corbin, 6-6, 305 pounds, worked out with the Colts on a tryout basis during Indianapolis’ three-day rookie mini-camp after going undrafted out of Appalachian State. He played in 35 games (20 starts) over his five years as a Mountaineer. Corbin began his collegiate career on the defensive line before making the transition to offensive line during his redshirt-freshman season. Mitchell, 5-9, 173 pounds, originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2015. He played in 47 games at Nebraska and finished with 104 tackles (79 solo), 3.0 sacks, three interceptions and 25 passes defensed.
